What are some good historical films and TV series?

A good show to watch would be The Borgias. While it is a Renaissance family, it holds the old "corrupt, evil family" feel. It seems to stick to the historical facts pretty well, so you could look it up if you want. The only problem is that you need Showtime to watch it.
