Is he trying to imply something to me? Is there a hidden meaning behind what he said?

There is this guy at work whom I really like. Last week, he told me that he went to the beach alone until sunset and he said that he saw a lot of people with their significant other. Is he trying to tell me something? We always talk about family, friends and life in general almost everyday. Does he like me? What do you think?
