Do you think Disney gives kids a false sense of reality?

They make the real world out to be perfect where everything works out and you have this fantasy life. And how they depict high school being this awesome place where the main character always gets their dream boy/girl (high school musical). I know it gave me a false sense of what high school really is and it took me my whole freshman year to adjust. I just think kids have this image of what the real world is and then when they find out its not what they thought they get screwed and regress back to a childlike state to escape the harsh reality that the world is really cruel and you don't always win in the end. What do you think?
