Auditioning for Annie?

I suggest you don't sing from the show. If the director said you should sing a song from the show, sing Maybe. It's prettier and not overdone. I feel it captures Annie's personality more because it can show her sad side when she thinks about her parents, while it also shows her optimistic side. Tomorrow is overdone, and really doesn't give (I feel) as much emotion. You just gotta smile during that song and it will look good. When I auditioned for Annie, I sang Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables. It's sort of like Maybe. I ended up getting Annie. And do the mature voice. It would sound nicer.
